Highways Supervisor for Principal Contractor required for a short term contract working on National Highways contracts in the Reading area. This Highways Supervisor role will be to run a highways scheme as Principal Contractor, running highways subcontractors and staff, and ensuring the site is run safely and effectively, keeping accurate records. There is ongoing work for the successful candidate but we have other schemes ongoing after this.

The Highways Supervisor job will involve:

Supervision of gangs on roads and motorway schemes
Working with the management team to guide the projects in the right direction to be completed on time and under budget
Running inductions, toolbox talks and making sure workers are safe at all times
Accurate record keeping of all site events
Ensuring work is completed to high standard
The Highways Supervisor ideal candidate will have:

Strong highways background
Experience supervising on major schemes
SMSTS & CSCS card
Highways Passport and Medical
Own transport to get to site and around various sites
A good attitude to work and willingness to work days and nights when required
